Success Story: Rescued Girl now is a Wife and Mother!

About a decade ago, we rescued this girl from slavery in a brothel along with 48 other girls from Nepal, West Bengal, and Bihar! She is all grown up now…and a proud wife and mother!

Here is a photo of a mock trial we are running for her! She has been summoned by the court as a witness against her former brothel keepers/traffickers.

She fears that she will be killed to prevent her from testifying.

On her request, Guria is providing her with witness protection and helping her prepare to give her statement before the court. This practice will help her feel more confident and capable in a court setting.

On March 18 th , 2015, Guria launched the FREEDOM NOW Global Art Exchange & Exhibit! 39 s chools around the world (in A ngola, Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Montenegro, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, Switzerland, and the U.S. ) educate d students about human trafficking, create d art about human trafficking, exchange d their art with each other around the globe, and finally put on student art exhibits in their respective schools. 100 Cases: 2,000 Pages of Evidence Submitted

Based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, we respond to immediate suffering and investigate the root causes of prostitution, poverty and inequality.
